Tonight, Michelle (another board member) and I went to Books-a-Million where Rachel Ray was signing autographs for her new book, Look & Cook. Knowing that she is a BIG animal lover (and even an owner and advocate for pit bulls) we did not go empty handed. We had an ornament in hand, an article recently published by Over The Mountain Journal, and a flyer about our program. Despite our nerves we told her as quickly as possible about the program - to which she responded - How much do the ornaments cost? (while simultaneously opening her wallet). Not only did she generously take our information about our Shelter Partners Program, but she also purchased an ornament!
Kudos to both of you and to R.R. for this save. Which lucky dog is headed to New Hampshire?
